End of the World Scenario

Many of you know that I've always been fascinated by the end of the world. The whole apocolypse, end of days, destruction of the world thing. I've always been curious as to how it could come about. I don't buy into the whole asteroid, natural disaster, aliens, machines taking over, or whatever. I'm guessing it's all gonna be people bringing about our own annihilation. Here's a theory on how it could happen in the next few years:

President Obama is a power hungry man. He's just trying to extend the presidential power. I think he sees himself as the first American emperor. I've seen him belittle the Supreme Court justices and berate the Legislative branch for simply exercising their Constitutional powers. I could see our dear Mr. President being the very first American president to refuse to lay down power when he's been voted out of office. This could lead to the second American Civil War.

The United States has been the world's unofficial police force since the end of World War II. None of us know a world where the big dog isn't around ready to smack down any petty little tyrant who rears his head in an attempt at world domination. Saddam is the latest example of that. This has earned America the hatred of every extremist government, military organization, and religion. They've been trying to destroy us for years. If the US spiraled into a civil war our power to be the police of the world would disappear overnight. Every nutjob with a gun and delusion of grandeur would get the green light to try and conquer his neighbors.

Every single country in the Middle East would declare holy jihad on Israel. I have great respect for the Israeli military, but they'd be hard pressed to avoid extinction. North Korea would attack South Korea and probably Japan too. Maybe even invade Russia. Russia is a shadow of its former self. China would also invade Russia and all of its southern neighbors and anyone else they felt like conquering. Europe is full of little pansy nations who probably would just wet themselves and bury their heads in the ground. Africa has already nearly destroyed themselves. They'll keep at it.

That's all traditional warfare which alone would throw the world into utter chaos and cause death on a scale that the world has never seen, but don't forget everyone who has nuclear weapons. India would use them on China in self defense and probably shoot some at Pakistan. They'd both fire right back. Russia would go nuts and who knows where all their missing nukes are. Someone's gonna use them. The end of the world as we know it would occur and we'd be right where Christian cultist screwballs say we're going.

Anyway, that's one possibility. I told you not to vote for Obama.
