Awkward Moments

I don't usually feel embarrassed or awkward or any of those silly emotions. Sometimes I do feel a little uncomfortable with the moment. I'm going to share a few of those moments. These happen to everybody at one point or another.

1. Eye contact with the person in the car in the lane next to you at a red light. You weren't really looking at them and they weren't really looking at you, but you happened to look in each others' direction at the same time. What do you do?

2. Eye contact with the person in the bathroom stall. You were just looking for an empty stall, but you looked at each other while they were doing their business. And the only empty stall is the one right next to them. That's gonna be a tense couple minutes.

3. Eye contact with the guy at the urinal next to you. This one is a lot like the previous one although this one doesn't happen to girls. It's worse if after the eye contact the guy smiles at you.

4. Eye contact with the only other person in the elevator. Now you have to finish the ride feeling like you should say something, but you don't want to.

5. You and someone else both motion for the other to go first. This happens going into rooms or stairs or elevators. Someone has to go first. I usually go first.

6. You say goodbye to a casual acquaintance and then you both start walking the same way.

Several of these happened to me this morning before 10:00. Just one of those days.

haha. i think the casual acquaintance thing is the most awkward. i've never had that urinal experience but i guess that would be worse.

This has been one of your more entertaining random thoughts as of lately. Glad to know that not only are you alive, but your sense of humor is too.
